ITOGON, BENGUET – Three individuals were confirmed dead, and one was injured following a tragic accident early this morning at Camanggaan First Gate, Barangay Ucab, Itogon, Benguet, around 6:45 AM.
The fatalities were identified as Jefferson Amayag Oplas, 29, the driver; Rubelyn O. Agapinan, 27; and Charles Oplas, 21, both passengers.
Another passenger, 14-year-old Luisito David Bacoco, was rushed to the hospital and is now in stable condition.
The victims were residents of Luneta, Antamok, Barangay Loacan, Itogon, Benguet.
Charles Oplas was declared dead on the spot, while Jefferson Oplas, Rubelyn Agapinan, and Luisito Bacoco were taken to the hospital.
Unfortunately, Jefferson and Rubelyn were later pronounced dead while receiving medical treatment.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
Meanwhile, the case has been recorded as Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide and Multiple Physical Injuries with Damage to Property.
