Baguio City – A Bible lecture on how to attain “happiness” is being offered to the public for free as simultaneous three-day conventions in Ibaloy and Tagalog are being held from August 14 to 16 at separate venues in Baguio City.
The activity is part of a series of “Eternal Happiness” regional conventions of a religious organization in different languages in the locality, which are expected to gather around 13,000 delegates in total.
The Ibaloy-language convention is being held at the Cordillera Convention Hall of the Baguio Country Club, while the Tagalog-language convention is being held at the Hotel Supreme Mall and Events Center.
Last weekend, the Kankanaey-language convention was held in Baguio City amid the effects of the Habagat.
Similar conventions will also be held over the next two weekends at the La Trinidad Wangal Sports Complex in La Trinidad, Benguet, with the Iluko-language convention scheduled first, followed by the Kankanaey-language convention.
Wilson Utayde, spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses, said the spiritually uplifting event is timely, as many people are facing various struggles and difficulties in life.
He added that the program includes Bible-based encouraging talks, interviews and a dramatized Bible story about the life of Jesus Christ during his time on earth, highlighting how people can attain eternal happiness.//Bombo Alfred Pudsoc
